  • THINKING PRO: A Comprehensive Solution for Supporting Multilingual Learners (MLL)

THINKING PRO | Curriculum Unit is an evidence-based program designed to strengthen core skills in reading, speaking, and writing for Multilingual Learners (MLL). The curriculum aligns with WIDA high school standards and emphasizes media literacy, the effective use of informational texts, and applying these skills in real-world contexts. The program helps MLL students build proficiency as they prepare to transition out of MLL programs and pass the WIDA test. By engaging students with local issues and a Capstone project, the program fosters a sense of belonging and confidence while motivating students to succeed. Additionally, the interactive videos, featuring voiceover narration, animation, and annotation, are especially helpful for MLL students, offering a clear, engaging way to learn and practice key skills at their own pace.

On the teacher side, THINKING PRO includes standard-aligned assignments, rubrics, self-graded components, a gradebook, and a dashboard for real-time proficiency tracking.

  • How Schools Use THINKING PRO to Support Multilingual Learners

    Pull-Out Interventions for English Proficiency

THINKING PRO is ideal as a pull-out program or intervention, focusing on improving reading, speaking, and writing skills for MLL students. ELA and social studies teachers can give credit for the work completed in the pull-out program, helping students stay on track with their coursework. The program includes structured activities like text-based group discussions and media literacy exercises, helping students develop academic language and proficiency in a supportive setting.

    Testing Prep & Language Support

THINKING PRO offers targeted support for MLL students preparing for the WIDA test. The program enhances reading comprehension, writing skills, and academic speaking, helping students improve their WIDA ACCESS scores by 1 or 2 points in just 8–10 weeks. THINKING PRO helps students strengthen their academic language, giving them the skills needed to transition out of MLL programs and succeed in mainstream classes.

    Integrated Classroom Enrichment

THINKING PRO integrates into English and social studies classes, providing differentiated instruction to support MLL students. Through local issues and the Capstone project, students build language skills while engaging in content-based learning, making it easier for them to succeed in mainstream classrooms.

  • Funding Options for THINKING PRO

THINKING PRO qualifies for Title III funding, accelerating English language acquisition and supporting MLL students in their transition to mainstream classrooms.

    Title II Funds
